The ambiguity and the double talk, between mainland China, Taiwan, and the United States, has managed to keep the peace all this time.After the China Vietnam border war, there have been no wars in Asia, outside of a couple of skirmishes and a few coups, but that is it.
Meanwhile the United States could not help themselves and were always fighting some stupid war.
Seems strange, but the double talk has kept the peace in the Taiwan Straits.
Any real clarity, probably will provoke a war of reunification.
The double talk seems to be a way of saying, "Live, and let live."
That has worked for China and Taiwan. It kept the peace.
Seems that, what the Americans are doing, is that they cannot stand it, the rise of China.
So they turn aggressive, always probing for a weakness. Trying to provoke China into a mistake.
