no one is interested in saving the rajapaksas, it is like throwing money into fire pit. I don't think it has much geostrategic impact. For OBOR, Sri Lanka is only one piece of many pieces, and it is only a transit. India probably want to exploit this situation, but unless India can throw billions of dollars, India can only watch from sidelines. The US has no interest in that place. Japan maybe tempted to exploit it too, but like I said, helping Sri Lanka today is like throwing money into fire pit. Only IMF can help that country by forcing it into strict diet, removing pounds of flesh from its body in return for help. For Sri Lankans, tough times are ahead of them.
