There was this debate last year, where Goldman was on one side the more accommodating side for the rise of China, and the other side was that Pillsbury character, and he was like, no, no, no!Goldman wrote about it, of his dismay that American thinking has gone bonkers.
Never bothered to find or watch that video, lol.
The other thing about Goldman, is that he is Jewish, and keenly aware of Israel being in a volatile neighbourhood.
I once saw a short video where he said that maybe some day the Jews will have to make a pact with China to ensure their well being in Israel. Goldman did not outright object to that, he was just more comfortable if the Jews continue to make their pact with the United States, because after all, Goldman is still an American.
Looking ahead to the future, Goldman has concern. But he is Jewish, seems to me they the Jews are always concerned about the future. For good reason too!
For Goldman to keep harping on these Americans, such as his opinion is that they are such strategic bozos, probably reflects a truth that China is well positioned, and the United States may have outmaneuvered itself with the money printing and all those stupid wars.
President Trump probably would agree!
