INTRODUCTION

Eileen Gu, Su Yiming, Xu Mengtao, if you’re a fan of big air then day 10 at the Beijing Games has been one for you, with some of the biggest names in the business in action on Monday.

Chasing her second gold of the Games, Gu has safely secured her spot in the final of the women’s freeski slopestyle, but there was a nervy start for the fan favourite who said qualifying was "way more nerve wracking than finals”.

While Gu has to wait until tomorrow for her push for glory, Mengtao and Kong Fanyu are into this evening’'s first final in the women's aerials, where the top six finishers then get a shot at a medal. The pair’s teammate Shao Qi has missed out.

Su safely came through qualifying in the men’s snowboard big air, but after the USA’s Kallie Humphries won an historic gold in the inaugural monobob event the afternoon has been all about Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva being cleared to carry on competing despite her positive drugs test.

It’s been a busy day so far and there is another exciting evening ahead, so follow us for live coverage from the Winter Olympics.
