The orthodox jews I met are quite aware that chinese had also experienced the Great Flood as a civilisation turning point. As I said before: jews, arabs and hindus have the same problem that their civilisation rest on one religion respectively but the jews in diaspora, unlike the other 2, must adapt to survive. Judaism is basically more an identity than a religion.
