Compare this with the above, WS-10 with gear box and fuel pumps on top is said to be for the Chinese flankers, while those on bottom are for J-10, J-20.

C-919 delivery will start next year. Will US announce the ban of LEAP-1C engine it use on the day of delivery? If so, CJ-1000 better get ready asap.

Y-20 designer Tang Changhong said Y-20 has two type of indigenous engine in use. One of them is obviously WS-20. The other could be CJ-1000 as he said the indigenous engines make Y-20 more capable than the one using the current engine. He said both engines are in flight test, meaning a civilian version of Y-20 using CJ-1000 could be in the work. My guess is before US impose engine ban on C-919, civilian Y-20 transporter will be flying CJ-1000 first.
