India leaders lack the courage of Deng Xiaoping and Zhu Rongji to reform the nation. This western honeymoon with India is just temporary. The west want nation that look like China but not China, and they think they found it in India, and they think they can help India to be the next China. But like their predecessors before them, they will find India is a very difficult place to do business, and even more corrupt than China. They are due for rude awakening sometime in the future.

The thing with India politicians, most of their midlevel and bottom level politicians are just thugs, gang bosses who were recruited by the political parties to gather votes from the slums. These people are just brute thugs with street smart skills but no education background whatsoever. As they rise through the rank in their respective political parties, their appearance will also change to hide their brutish behavior, and they will even get a college degree or MBA or even honorary doctorate, but of course those degrees are just bought not earned by them. One day they will lead India and the system will repeat itself, and with those kind of background, is it any wonder India is a hellhole today?
