The three astronauts on the SZ-12 mission from left to right are Tang Hongbo, Nie Haisheng, Liu Boming. Nie served as the mission commander, this will be his third flight to space. Tang as a second batch crew, is on his first trip to space.

Nie Haisheng, airforce pilot with 1480 flying hours. Flew in Shenzhou-6 mission on Oct, 2005, and Shenzhou-10 mission on Jun, 2013.

Liu Boming, airforce pilot with 1050 flying hours. Flew in Shenzhou-7 mission on Sep, 2008.

Tang Hongbo, airforce pilot with 1159 flying hours. Was a backup for Shenzhou-11 mission on May, 2016.
