but I suppose that if Mars has sufficient gravity, it should hold a sufficiently dense atmosphere. Russian and murrikan probes have shown that the Mars atmosphere is dense enough to sufficiently slow down the landiing probes-- with the help of parachutes. So, I can't see why China cannot do the same. The finnal douchdown on the Mars surface might be a little different but that technique has been demonstated on the Moon too.
