Lets face the facts: The earlier the lock down the more effective. During the 1st wave, lots of (asymptomatic) hindu rural migrants returned to their home villages like in uttar pradesh, bihar.. and in effect had spreaded the covid far and wide. Buiding field hospitals there is like someone tossing rupee100 notes in the air and the poor hindus will jump in to fight to grab them. Even new field hospitals with 10s of 1000s of beds will not suffice. The bottom line is india has very poor health infrastructure and has so far spent little on health care. I read b4 the covid, only 1 out of 5 indians died in hospitals
