Ok, asides from the arrival of Tianwen-1 to Mars around Feb 12, and landing attempt around two months later. The next two years are the year of CSS. As you know it is actually delayed by two years due to the CZ-5 Y-2 mission mishap.
But then TW-1 has also been delayed two years by CZ-5 TW-1 has not been delayed by CZ-5, it's CE-5 being delayed.
In 2021 to 2022, China will start to construct the Chinese Space Station. Will it be called Tiangong-3 or just the Tiangong? Anyway the CSS is expected to be completed by the end of 2022. In the initial phase, it comsist of three modules, one core module and two lab modules, with the possibility of multiple Shenzhou and Tianzhou docked. I guess one Shenzhou will always be available for emergency return.
First, the core module Tianhe will be launched in Mar 2021. A practice of mounting it on CZ-5 had been carried out in the first half of this year.
CZ-5B will be used to launch the three space station modules to 400 km LEO. Its maiden flight early this year test launch the next gen space craft.
After that Tianzhou cargo space ship will be launched to rendezvous with it in Apr. It's possible Tianhe module would be launched in empty weight to maximize its structure, then Tianzhou mission would be launched to fuel it up, supply oxygen, water, and other resources.
CZ-7 will be used to launch the Tianzhou cargo spaceship, and possibly the manned Shenzhou spaceship.
In Jun, next gen spaceship Shenzhou 13 mission will be launched to dock with it.
In 2021, only the core module, one Tianzhou cargo spaceship, and one Shenzhou spaceship will form the CSS. I'm not sure, but I guess the Shenzhou-13 will not be manned, just for testing rendezvous with the CSS core module I suppose. Because in the later half of 2021, a second Tianzhou spaceship will be launched to resupply the CSS in Aug, and then Shenzhou 14 will be launched in Sep. This seem too hectic for Shenzhou 13, 14 to be manned mission. But then I won't rule out that SZ-13 or 14 would be manned to test the TH module.
Starting in 2022, the second module Wentian space lab 1 will be launched.
The third module Mengtian space lab 2, will also be launched in 2022.
The assembling of the space labs will be carried out as follow. A robotic arm will transpose them into the correct position and orientation.
By the end of 2022, the construction will be completed, CSS first phase will take shape and become operational. It is expected to operate for at least ten years from 2022 to 2032. In 2022, two Tianzhou and two Shenzhou mission have been scheduled. Perhaps starting from Shenzhou 16 it will be manned. From this point on, two Tianzhou and two Shenzhou mission will be scheduled every year for resupply and crew rotation, I presume.
CSS has the possibility of expansion with three more modules later on, doubling the mass of the CSS from 90 tons to 180 tons. But the expansion is not set in stone. CNSA will shift attention to manned lunar landing after 2022, so maybe a lunar gateway will be considered instead, I wondered. However, so far I've only seen concept of lunar base, no concept of lunar gateway yet.
