not an expert, but with 5G, that is what they will do next, in a general sense.

Forget about the phone for a second, and think of the cloud.

Remember those futuristic movies, where all the vehicles on the road is controlled by a central computer, and the traffic goes along seamlessly?

The traffic moves well, even though the road is crammed with cars, the central computers calculates the best route and organizes it.

That makes sense, as the individual car cannot organize the traffic, a central computer on the network can do it. That is the cloud, using the terminology of today.

So we have a centralized computer relaying data to the car on what to do, and making it calculations for it, based on the data from the car sensors.

Now switch the word "car" for "Huawei cell phone", and that is essentially that video.

Okay, but, it is more complicated than that.

What the cloud is today, that is not a centralized computer and if we want to log into the network, we have to log into the central computer (in order to be part of the network).

The 5G cloud, which means 5G network, will have a new feature called edge computing.

Note, remember that 5G is a far more powerful network than 4G, and can do more things. This edge computing is one of them.

For instance, if I am in my ancestral village in Guangdong, and log into the cloud with 5G, I do not connect to a central computer in Beijing, not even Guangzhou, I would be connected to somewhere closer, and my calculations would be done by nearby network computers, you know, like Zhongshan or Zhuhai.

That's what they call the edge computing, and this will be possible with the higher speeds of the 5G network.

Now imagine, one central computer in Beijing organizing traffic for all of China? Now imagine, edge computing managing traffic for that location.

What my real 2 cents are, that we cannot disagree with the premise of the video, I still believe Huawei will wanted their top of the line phones at 5mn or less in a couple of years, to solve that supply problem.

The concept of the edge computing is fascinating.

Imagine how the traffic will move if one computer cop knew what was happening.

Imagine how well a multi-player game would play, for those who still computer games. I tried it when I was younger, it was impressive. Hey, we grew up on Pac-Man! Yeah man.
