Nationalism is baked-in for thousands of years.  That's why Beijing should liberalise freedom and not worry.  Chinese in other parts of the world, even after many many generations are still Nationalists.  It has always been for the good of the Chinese people.

What Beijing has to worry are the grifters, the uncouth unsophisticated, fresh off the farm, Dunning-Krugered Chinese.  Those are the ones that are f88cking up the Chinese push for a place in this world.
