the same thing as Taiwan will "never" rejoin China. PRC will compel the reunification of Taiwan with the mainland either by force of will or military arms. Each and every day that passes makes Taiwan and its big daddy US less and less able to fight off a PRC invasion, which means that time is not on Taiwan's side. It doesn't matter if Taiwan doesn't want to rejoin, it will be made to rejoin eventually. In 10 years, 20 years, whatever. It doesn't even matter. Taiwan will return to the Chinese fold within the first half of this century, guaranteed.
