and its global political and economic influence outweighs China. The cracks are starting to show, but it's not wise to get into a conflict with the US any more than with the USSR in the 1980s. I suspect the US is trying to provoke China into a shooting war *right now*, because *right now* may be the last time the US can win such a war.

US citizens of Chinese ancestry have always been screwed, since they are neither Chinese nor Americans.
