A long story, but a friend wanted to write a book, and publish it on Amazon and have a Kindle version which is Amazon Publishing electronic version of the hard copy. It is just a hobby, something to do, not something we expect not too much from. But still, if your name is on it, then some effort is required. Thankfully it did not take much time.

What happened with the customer service, in India, is outrageous. They could not answer a simple question.

Then next the Kindle software they have us use, does not work properly. What the hell?

Amazon is one of the biggest and richest company on the planet, and such simple software don't work?! Why not just use pdf files? What were they doing?

Then there was the entire episode of me trying to order proofs, which are copies that are not published yet, just for us to see what it looks like. Well, last month, I tried, but there was problem. Therefore, we email them. They reply back there is a problem with Canadian customers, which is bullcrap, it does not work that ordering system and they screwed it some how. One month later, I try again, figuring they fixed it by now. But no. Can you believe it! Amazon is one of the biggest companies in the world and they cannot do this! They cannot even fix it now.

Yeah, well, I am pretty sure from my emails, and how this software is working, that which country has their engineers working on this. Even if you were not Amazon, just a two bit operation like me, what they hell you know, you cannot do it that way. Yet here is Amazon shovelling crap at us with software that don't work.
