So what?  Only the hateful the losers would do that to us.  We are not bothered by it.  Because we know we are doing much better.  Sure you have those Chinese Americans and Chinese Canadians that came as indentured workers, the ones who can't make it in their own countries and subsequent generations are still acting like the low level people that they wrere.  Those Chinese are equivalent of the rednecks in the US.  I personally call them Yellow trash.

The Chinese culture trancents Communism.  For you to say that the Chinese are defined by Communism means you have no clue what so ever.  The Chinese culture with its thousands of years of history encoded within our DNA?  Communism, which I disagree, is just a mean at that time to fight against neo-colonialism and has outlived it usefulness.  In-fact other than a more authoritarian style of Xi governance and a few state enteprises propped by the state, in the past decade, China is most capitalistic than lets say..the EU.  

Back to South East Asia.  The Chinese there did not became aflfuent because they control the government, dictate terms to disadvantage the natives.  In fact they were discriminated like the ones you mentioned in Africa.  They became affluent because of their diligence, creativity, perseverance, ingenuity and patience.  That's why they can;t be kicked out.  If so, the economy would collapse.  You see the GDP per capita of each South East Asian country is directly corealted to the percentage of overseas Chinese population within the country.  Singapore with 76% Chinese, has a GDP per capita of USD$65,000.  Malaysia with about 27%, $12,000, Thailand 14%, GDP $7,800, Indonesia 3% $4,200, Philippines, 1%, $3,300, Vietnam 2%, $2,700.  

You can also extrapolate from the numbers above to know that Thai Chinese, Malaysian Chinese, Indonesian Chinese and the Filipino Chinese are very rich because the distribution of wealth skewed heavily to their favor.  Besides Thailand which the CHinese are generally assimilated, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Phillippines heavily discriminate their Chinese population.
