It's not in China's interest to fight India. As I said before (although some here are too triumphalist to admit it), the US could easily interfere by supplying India with weapons and intelligence, and the PLA would be hard pressed to fight a two-front war if things really got bad with the US. On the other hand, it's not in India's interest to fight China, because if Pakistan and Nepal joined in, India would proably not be able to fight all three countries at the same time. China isn't really trying to publicise the incident unlike India.
