But look at the countries whose main sources of water (their rivers) originates in another country.

.

Already China is working on damming the Mekong--vietnam's lifeblood--for hydroelectric power and to transfer the water to northern China, which has been pumping its wells dry. ]

{If you stick you nose behind the arses of your white masters and accept their commands, that's what you will get. See part of my earlier reply to some Vietnamese poster:

[China built huge dams upstream of SE Asia Mekong River to prevent water from flowing downstream to Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. This is severely affecting the crop especially rice growing of these countries and causing the backflow of seawater (which would make the growing land useless) to hundreds of thousands of acres of growing land of Vietnam which locates at the end of the Mekong river flowing out to the sea. This Chinese dirty tactic has caused a severe drought, economic damage and life stress to people of these countries.]

.
Except for the initial filling-up period, dams do NOT stop water flowing downstream but it can store up water for time of drought. That is EXACTLY what the China has done. Further down stream, however, those who stick their heads up the arses of their white masters did what the whites told them and never saved their OWN water when it was plentiful now have found out, with much pain, that their OWN water has already flowed into the sea and canNOT be recovered simply by opening the sluice gates-- something that China can now do. They belatedly have to pay the price for sucking up to their white masters. Don't the Vietnamese always boast about their own IQ and their achievements in the PISA tests??? So, what happened?

.

Like someone who save up and lend to those who don't, China's recent release of water to the downstream countries in SA Asia is a favour that China is doing them. Your accusation is yet further proof of the ungratefulness that is the very character of the Vietnamese!!}

.

[Other forms of entaglement include rare minerals needed for a remarkable number of everyday items (such as rare earths for cell phones) which are found in some countries but not in most others.]

.

Rare Earth metals are found in many countries. Before China took over the market, the US was the main supplier. It wanted to save their reserves-- for strategic reasons-- and therefore used 'environmental protection' as an excuse to stop mining their own and then accused China of market violations when China wanted to do the same.
