3 segments of chinese manufacturing:

1)low-value added labour intensive:Had provided jobs to rural migrants and help urbanisation. Considered that the PLA army has difficulty recruiting hi-school leavers, the new gen of average young chinese, at least those in cities, aspire to go to college, not to work in such workshops. These jobs actually are being relocated to places like vietnam and bangladesh b4 the COVID19 thing

2)Core/heavy:The industry the yanks had invested heavily is the auto-industry. Although pharma & ventilators got quite a bit of attention recently, in reality they don't occupy the kind of position like autos, steel making, hi-speed rail...  China produces over 1/2 of the world's steel

3)Hi-tech:Under severe yank embargo and sanction. That's the area of biggest chinese investment and tech push. Here I'm talking about the natural progression of a sizable nation's industry/economy

If A.I./robotics could advance fast enuff, formerly labour-intensive industry could return to US, but not to places like vietnam, bangladesh or even india. With the exceptions where mechanical precision demand robotics, given the demografic dividends of bharat, the best way for the hindus to robotise is putting on C3PO suit to go to work
