You have to understand that China's challenges are usually regulation and standards related.  Many manufacturers, especially the smaller scale ones skirt QC to save cost. Many even copy to save designing and R&D costs.  Thus the stereotypical "Chinese products are junks and they copy everything".  The poor in the US and other areas bought them and expect the products to perform just as good as the better ones at 1000% discount.  Aintl going to happen.

India bought from these manufacturers as they are too poor.  And they think China made light industrial products that are low quality.  Let them think that way. 

It takes decades to firm up regulations and we are seeing a trend towards better standards and regulationd.
