I give him high marks for the coronavirus response, but the fact is California can't maintain its roads and other infrastructure, and has some of the worst K-12 education in the US. Thousands of Californians sleep and shit on the streets, millions are addicted to drugs. Even a good leader would be hard pressed to turn that into a successful nation, and Newsom is far from a good leader.
