Africa as a whole has the same population and slightly less GDP as India.  The only difference between the African continent and India is,  the continent is governed by 54 governments.  India was able to pool its resources to focus on a few high profile things such as the space program and such, to a point, the world is claiming that it is the upcoming superpower capable of surpassing the US and China.  The truth is, it is a sub-Saharan type of country that will get worse as the population grow and automation takes over most of manufacturing. 

If India is a what it claimed to be, we would have seen gradual progress but it has none other than a few pockets of success which Africa has too despite not having the cohesiveness India has.

Brazil has about 30% less in GDP compared to India but it has only 16% of India's population.  Why Brazil is not touted as the next superpower?  Brazil is looked at as a sh8th0le.  

Even lowly Indonesia has double the GDP per capita of India.
