nurses, shopkeepers.. Reasons are simple:Their daily lifes affected and the riots are detrimental to HK economy, If you met HK supporters of those riots in the States, simply because their personal economies have moved away from HK

Being said, HK has serious housing cost problem but that has nothing to do with Beijing.

As I mentioned b4, many HK females turned anti-ML because their BFs, husbands were snatched by ML women because the laters were poor and available. Women often turned very emotional and politically radical IMO becos of unhappy relationships with men(like blaming 'patriarchy', say). But that phenomena is receding because ML living standard is rising fast.
