Right now, no one sells 5G gear other than Huawei. When will the competitors start selling it, is completely unknown. They may never catch up in terms of quality. If they should, then what about price? The Indians are cheap, they will always from the cheapest.No one should really care what India should do about their 5G network.
From what I read, they are still using 2G and 3G along with 4G. Apparently their telecom companies invested a lot into their 4G network. So they must earn a rate of return from that investment before they can consider building a 5G network. That makes sense. You invest money into a 4G network might as well use it. No point in building a 4G network and not using it because you just built a 5G network.
With 5G India will be a lager again.
