Lots of Hkers have a distorted self perceived image. A good example is while those silly rioters are nostagic of the limey rule, the average Hkers don't speak much english nor know much about western culture, not even the rich. Some examples: 1)Most of female english teachers in HK can't flirt in english 2)I recently talked to an 'audio-visual' major; I immediately spotted that he was one of those rioters(he just bought several big bottles of eye cleanser). I adviced him not to behave like an enfant terrible and he had no idea what I was talking about. 3)I often tease people with large tattos:"What happened? Were you molested by a demon last night? Let me guess, a demon from Sodom ?".  An anglo would immediately catch my joke. Last night I said the same to a local person who actually was conversing in english to another chap, and he apparently didn't know what I was talking about
