The El Paso killer bemoaned the increasing college requirements for employment and bemoaned the increasing population which would end up on welfare, but failed to grasp that the longer one spends in college the fewer kids one will have. He also glossed over the MASSIVE drug problem the US has. Drug addiction seriously impacts a person's ability to hold any job, and I bet illegal Latin American workers (or CHinese or Indian STEM-guestworkers) have a lower rate of addiction than US-born citizens. Those who grow up in the United States attend dysfunctional schools where SJW progressive liberal propaganda trumps basic skills such as reading or arithmetic. Americans can't or won't take a serious look at the roots of America's problems. I don't think UBI will fix that.
