Xinjiang has little rainfall and the ground water is usually salty, so people drank bottled water.

But bharat is known for their monsoon flood. If they lack water, it has to do with lack of reservoirs.

Below says those desalination plants could use 'solar energy' !! If solar enegy is so abundant there, why  haven't they replaced burning hi-ash content coal with 'solar'?
