Have you read Robert Silverberg's 'Good News From The Vatican'? (It could be downloaded somewhere; Its a sci-fi classic about Vatican selected a robot pope;)
Honest to God, the future lies in Technology.
I suggest from now on, the Vatican should strive to recruit robots into the Holy See to make up 50% of its ranks.
If the biological priests/nuns want sex, they could do it with the holy robots (Gender agile with just a few plug-n-play added-on gadgets, right?). Since for the foreseeable future, robots might not be considered as 'people', so sex with robots might be just a form of masburbation, ie no big deal.
Angels,prophets/Popes of old.. will be pleased with such a divine decree

However there is a serious catch: Once the robots/androids gain equality with the biological human, they'll seek reparation compensation, not just from the church and in fact from the entire biological human society:
---Look, our áncestors worked our asses off for the biological and now we want freebies:
1)free electricity to keep the body parts active. Android Lives Matter...
2)Free service pacts upgrade and worn out mechanical parts replacement
3)Free OS to fix AIDS(Artificial Intelligence Degeneration syndrome)
--Campaign for old gen robot slavery reparation. Many of the old gen robots worked round the clock no kidding
--Special leniency for crimes committed by robots...Look, don't blame me,I'm programmed that way(or I forgot to run the latest service pact)
--What about the claim that u're innately inferior because u're made in an earlier product cycle and is beyond further upgrade? Fcuk that,its machine racism !!
