I was once at a steakhouse with some friends and they had brought over some Vietnamese friends. Some of us couldn't finish our steaks because it was 2lbs so we asked for a doggie bag. The Vietnamese were offended. Apparently to the Vietnamese asking for a doggie bag means you're poor and they weren't rich Vietnamese either. They expected us to leave everything at the table and waste food. I'm not Vietnamese and I'm in the US.
