I was amazed that applying the nvidia video card can 2-passes convert a 320 mb (Startrek TNG 960x720 pixels 45 mins episode) to 150mb(x265 format) in 5 mins 20 s, 6 times as fast as using only CPU. My fastest machine is a dell laptop with 7700hq and nvidia 1050ti. I wonder how much an improvement an 8th gen i-5 8300h (or i-7 8750h) and  nvidia1060 would make
