First, Trump makes a state visit to China, where he had a marvelous time. The US-Sino relationship was very positive.

Then after Trump returns to America, the USA after a couple of months start picking a big fight over trade with China.

China retaliates back hard, very hard.

The situation is reported to be tense, and at a stalemate.

Then after a while a big delegation of only important people visit China from America to talk about trade.

Right after that, China sends a big delegation of only important people to visit America to only talk about trade.

Then the news hits today China is willing to buy American stuff like crazy.

That is the timeline of events the past few months, that Xi and Trump went from good, to bad and very bad, then back to good again. Just like wrestling, and wrestling is fake! It's fake like fake news!

The point is that President Trump, is still Trump the salesman. He is selling his brand. He was the tough guy. He gave an ultimatum to the Chinese, you better reduce the deficit by $100 billion dollars, which was impossible. The Chinese might or might not understand this. The Chinese are like us, deliberate, take it seriously. Then maybe someone thought, hey wait a minute, we can offer to buy everything, and we can, like $200 billion, that is a number they clearly signaled. This is a show all along for that New York guy to look tough!

If Trump and Xi made a deal about trade in Beijing when the President visited, no one would really care. Those kind of trade talks will put people to sleep. Do it this way, where there was a fight (real or fake), people pay attention, and Trump brand is looking good. A deal like this done this way with the drama is good for the President.

So was this trade war all fake?
