Chan was never in her life then do something as a father.  Chan is not some drug adict who has nothing but Chan has everything   Show her how much he loves her then take it from there.  Let her know that his love for her is unconditional, slowly give her guidance as a father and don't attach any stipulation that she can't be lesbian because she did not choose to be born lesbain or straigth.
