Afganistan is a very CONSERVATIVE country but lots of afgans in the south are queers.
 My guess is arab/muslim societies have higher % of queers(closet doors left unlocked) because pre-marital hetero relation is forbidden

Anthropologically, hostility towards homosexuality had to do with nomadic tribal fertility concern because people saw strength in numbers
