1. It is kind of like looking for Chinese food in a foreign land. If there is enough Chinese people around, then you find good Chinese food. Seems like you need a critical mass for anything to take off. Seems apparent that China has reached that stage for many things in the industrial & technical sectors.2. Seems like the Trump administration is out to lunch with their China strategy. Recall the AIIB fiasco for President Obama. President Trump seems like he is walking down the same path but worst, and he hopes to find allies to side with America to pressure China putting the screws on it. Join Trump in a trade war with China! Thanks, but no thanks.
3. That QUAD thing. Look how enthusiastic they support Trump in his solo trade skirmish with China. It figures, they do not want to be next, the next target of either China or America, or both as in the case of Japan. The only guy dumber than Trump is Abe. I hope Trump turns it around, I still like Trump.
