As a matter of fact, this is a failure on us part and a concession from usa.

China has always welcomed talks between us and nk. It was us that refused to talk and insisted on its bullying tactics of wanting nk to stop missiles/nuke test and denuclearised first.
It is still not known if talks will happen and what will be the outcome.

The demand from nkorea is clear and consistent. It is up to dictator state usa to stop the bullying.

IMO China has always been advocating dual suspension, which involves only US, NK and to some extent SK.

On the surface, it seems China is out of the loop, but is that even true since we are not privy to the possible back door maneuvers initiated by the Chinese.
What about China as the guarantor that Kim will not end up like Gaddafi?

I think Mayer’s “spiel” is overly simplistic and did not paint a true picture of what is/will be happening.

Another SCMP article from 'Fantasy Center' which has nothing to do with reality but clearly reflects the author's wishful thinking.
