If not Stalin's generous help, the KMT regieme will fallen in 1938. The Americans were thieves, they sell oil to Japan and doing nothing in1937-1939! It was Japan too much greed that grab the entire Indo China in June1940 after the fall of France  that caused the US to change their policy of appeasement to Imperial Japan. If Indo China peninsula fallen in the hands of the Japs, they will march into the Philipines, Malaysia,Singapore and thats true after the raid in Pearl Harbour! USA was using China to make attritions over Japanese, the more bleeding of the Japs the more easier for the Yankees to defeat Japan!
