as Hong Kongers not as Chinese.  I thought it only meant like people living in California would be reffered as Californians or Texans for those who live in Texas but this woman's identity is ironically different. She is not proud of being part of China and therefore she does not appreciate to be called Chinese but Hong Konger.  This is rather confusing for a non-Chinese person.  Frankly, I learned the word Taiwanese after I joined CMF.  Whenever I saw a Chinese person, it would never crossed my mind that he or she might be a Taiwanese because I did not know the difference.
