EM cats (skipping steam cats altogether). And maybe IEP as well. This carrier is maybe 10 years away which could well be enough time to finalize designs for these technologies. China actually has experience with all 3 technologies in various ways. EM cats via maglev technology, IEP via current deployment on CSG cutters, and naval nuclear power via its nuke subs. Note that the Enterprise was powered by nuclear plants derived from its nuclear sub designs before ramping up to fewer and larger plants on later carriers, and the PLAN could easily go this route as well.
