Allah apparently is the arabic version of yahweh, also used by arab christians

If one takes an atheistic philological(linguistic) approach,like in Allegro's 'The sacred mushroom and the Cross',things could be entirely different,like

'Jesus' was a code word for magic mushroom users in the middle east.Jesus the person didnt exist

Being said, sure arabs had their own role in ancient fertility cults but it was unlikely 'Allah' came directly from an ancient pagan religion.
