One can see the improved WS-9 or WS-9 MK220(certified in 2005)has about the same specs as the m53 in mirage2K but with much better fuel efficency(Mind u its a relatively minor project compared to WS10,WS15,WS20..)http://military.china.com/dljl/11138977/20130301/17706438.html (spey&m53 infos from wiki)
