Chesapeake Bay blue crab is really tasty, not to mention you can legally eat the delicious roe-filled females. The local Dungeness crab fishery has been closed here for a long time because of domoic acid poisoning. Since these crabs are traditionally eaten for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner in California, the holidays have been completely ruined (at least for those who can still afford holiday dinners).
