the consequences.  The guy would spend about 3 moths in a county jail for fellony assault which 1/2 of the sentence.  The district attorney will ask for a year the most and the public defender would ask for 6 moths which is their normal procedure. The defendant would agree to a plea deal.  It usually takes about 6 calendar weeks before a defendant got sentence and subtract from 12 weeks so he would only have 6 weeks to go. 

I once saw a young negroe kid not older than 12 spit on a door before leaving a store owned by Korean.  It was on Tully Road just right before High Way 101.  This back in the 90s. The owner was in his late 60s with language burden and that kid called him all kinds of names.  Finally, the grandson who was about 15 confronted that negro kid and the kid called him all sorts of names too. Once more spit at the door before he left with his bycicle and said. I will bring my brother and beat all of you bitch.  I stopped by again about 9 or 10 months later.  There was a new owner and the name was changed to Quick Stop or Stop and Save(?)  They were Indians.
