Many of our today's innovations stemmed from ideas that were inspired by those who pushed the limit.  If we constantly define what are the boundaries based on our own value and taste then we will always remain inside the box and will not think outside of it.

No matter how distasteful some art are, we have to let them happen.   There are many great artists in China that are doing just that and that gave me some comfort and hope that in a few generation, China will catch up and exceed in areas of innovation and creativity.
