The best thing my Laotian brother can do, is continue to stay friendly close tied to China and never get too close to the USA.

Even the Thailand now are bending closer toward China in place of America; there is going to be re-alliance of power in ASEAN, and Lao must learn to read the power shifting toward China and place your bet accordingly.
