1)They don't require deep math skill or knowledge. More like common sense or math literacy. Ps of cake for PRC 15yrs old
2)Most of them are not textbook problems. Drilling doesn't necessarily help
3)Could be culturally biased. Q.1,2 are on cold-climate environment. Q. 8-12 are on car braking.
Students from tropical 3rd world countries might not be used to such questions.
The science sample problems; take a look. Quite a number of the problems are on the environment. i or 2 are even on cloning. Absolutely nut I would say. Why not set some questions on sewage disposal, basic hygene or nutrition?
